What happened to the Arbento rewriting tool?
Arbento has evolved. Instead of automatically rephrasing arbitrary text, the app now focuses on writing and revising stories. It reads your manuscript in context, remembers characters and places, and shows you where structure, pacing, or continuity no longer fits.
If you remember this page from the previous Arbento website, you are still in the right place, but the product now has a new focus. The old browser-based rewriting tool has been retired.
How to rewrite a passage well
Good rewriting means more than replacing individual words with synonyms. First understand the point of the passage, then rebuild it with clearer structure and in your own voice.
- State the paragraph’s core idea in one sentence.
- Change the sentence structure and order, not only individual words.
- Remove repetition, filler, and explanations the reader does not need.
- Check whether the tone and rhythm fit the surrounding text.
- Compare the revision with the original and confirm that the meaning remains intact.
How Arbento helps with revision today
The new Arbento app is built for long-form fiction. It combines a writing editor with story intelligence: the Codex tracks characters, places, and story rules; scene analysis uses established story frameworks; and Story Health reveals structural gaps.
For prose revision, Arbento surfaces readability, sentence rhythm, tone, and frequently used words. It does not replace your voice. It helps you see where a scene could become clearer or more effective.

Arbento is for people writing novels, short stories, and other fiction. The app runs on iPhone, iPad, and Mac and keeps your manuscript and story knowledge synchronized across devices.
The new app is not intended for academic papers or for automatically paraphrasing someone else’s sources. Sources still require proper citation; rewriting another person’s ideas does not make them your own.
