AI and revision
Text umschreiben mit KI: use AI without losing your voice
AI can provide useful revision signals, but it should not make every creative decision for the writer. The new Arbento uses AI as story intelligence for your entire manuscript.
The former Arbento AI rewriter is no longer available. The new app supports fiction writers with whole-manuscript context, continuity checks, structural analysis, and focused revision signals.
From AI rewriter to story intelligence
A single paragraph tells an AI very little about the characters, world, structure, or voice of a novel. Arbento now takes a different approach: the app learns the context of your story and helps you check relationships across many chapters.
The old online service for automatic paraphrasing has been retired. Arbento is now a dedicated app for iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
How to use AI for rewriting well
AI is most useful during revision when you define a clear goal and treat the result as a suggestion. A broad prompt such as “make this better” often produces smooth but interchangeable prose.
- Define the problem: too long, unclear, passive, or inconsistent with the character’s voice.
- Ask for a diagnosis or several options instead of one final version.
- Provide context about the scene, point of view, tone, and intended effect.
- Check facts, meaning, and unintended changes in the result.
- Revise the suggestion yourself so the language remains yours.
What Arbento checks in a manuscript
Arbento looks beyond wording. The Codex tracks characters, places, and story rules and can reveal contradictions between chapters. Beat analysis maps scenes to frameworks including Save the Cat, Three-Act Structure, and the Hero’s Journey.
Signals for tone, readability, sentence rhythm, and frequently used words also support prose revision. Creative control stays with you while the app highlights passages that deserve attention.
The limits of AI rewriting
AI can shift meaning, invent details, or flatten an individual voice. The longer and more complex the work, the more important context and human review become.
For academic or sourced material, an AI paraphrase does not remove the need for attribution or guarantee originality. Arbento is now specifically designed for fiction projects.
Frequently asked questions
Does Arbento automatically rewrite my text with AI? +
The former general-purpose AI rewriter is no longer available. The new app analyzes fiction manuscripts and provides signals for structure, continuity, tone, readability, and other revision concerns.
Will the AI write my novel for me? +
No. Arbento is for writers who write their own stories. Its AI helps you understand and revise the manuscript rather than taking over the creative work.
Which story frameworks does Arbento support? +
Arbento supports analysis using Save the Cat, Three-Act Structure, and the Hero’s Journey.
Is AI-rewritten text automatically unique? +
No. AI output can contain familiar phrasing, alter meaning, or reproduce sourced ideas without proper attribution. Results always require review.
